The text of a signature people have already pasted stays put — it is HTML on their own machine, we cannot reach it. The images are the exception: logos, photos and banners load from us at fixed addresses, which is what lets a banner change after install, so when a subscription ends those addresses stop serving and the images show as missing. If you are leaving, export the HTML and host the images yourself, or plan to replace the signatures.
